Golden millet
Proso millet (Panicum miliaceum) is one of humanity's oldest cultivated crops and was already grown in China over 8,000 years ago. The small golden-yellow grains are naturally gluten-free and contain silica (silicon), B vitamins and minerals such as iron, magnesium and zinc. The silica content in particular makes proso millet popular in dietary supplements. Unlike brown millet, proso millet is hulled and therefore easier to digest.
