Ghee
Ghee is clarified butter produced by slowly heating to remove water, milk proteins and lactose. What remains is pure butterfat, which is virtually lactose-free and has a particularly long shelf life. Ghee has held a firm place in Indian cuisine and in Ayurvedic tradition for millennia. UNIMEDICA's organic ghee is handcrafted and bottled in Germany from the hay milk of pasture-grazed Allgäu cows using a traditional Ayurvedic simmering method. Its nutty flavour makes it a versatile alternative to butter — and because ghee can be heated up to 210 °C, it is also ideal for high-temperature cooking.
