Argan oil
Argan oil is extracted from the fruit of the argan tree, which grows only in the south-west of Morocco. The elaborate traditional production and limited availability make it one of the most precious oils in the world.
In the kitchen, roasted argan oil, with its intensely nutty flavour, is used in Moroccan dishes and salads. Virgin argan oil is milder and is also prized in cosmetics for the skin and hair. The oil is rich in vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids.
