Cedar nut oil
Cedar nut oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the Siberian stone pine (often mistakenly referred to as “cedar”). In Siberia it has been regarded for centuries as a valuable foodstuff and is traditionally used for a variety of purposes.
The golden-yellow oil has a pleasantly mild, slightly resinous flavour and contains a wide range of unsaturated fatty acids. It is suitable for salads and cold dishes and should not be heated, in order to preserve its valuable constituents.
