Sesam oil
Sesame oil is one of the oldest culinary oils known to humankind and has been used in Asia and the Near East for over 5,000 years. There is light sesame oil from unroasted seeds and dark sesame oil from roasted seeds with a more intense aroma.
Dark, roasted sesame oil is a classic seasoning oil of Asian cuisine with a nutty, aromatic flavour. Light sesame oil is also suitable for frying. Traditionally, sesame oil is used in Ayurveda for oil pulling and massages.
