Virgin argan oil, the liquid gold of Morocco, is cold-pressed from the flavourful nuts of a tree native to Morocco. Prior to pressing, the nuts are traditionally cracked by Berber women by hand in painstaking labour.
The yellowish argan oil is suitable for both cold and hot cooking. Argan oil is particularly recommended to enhance pasta sauces, dips, salads, fish or meat dishes. Even a few drops of the oil, with its characteristic nutty aroma, give dishes a special touch.
Tip: Drizzle a teaspoon of argan oil over the dish only after plating.
