Astragalus
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus), auch als Tragant oder Huang Qi bekannt, ist eine Hülsenfruchtpflanze, die seit Jahrtausenden fester Bestandteil der Traditionellen Chinesischen Medizin (TCM) ist. Verwendet wird vor allem die Wurzel der Pflanze, die erst nach vier bis sieben Jahren Wachstum geerntet wird. Zu den charakteristischen Inhaltsstoffen zählen Polysaccharide, Saponine (insbesondere Astragaloside) und Flavonoide.
