Chaga
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) ist ein Vitalpilz, der vor allem auf Birken in den kälteren Regionen der Nordhalbkugel wächst – von Sibirien über Skandinavien bis Nordamerika. Äußerlich erinnert er an ein dunkles, verkohltes Stück Holz, was ihm den Beinamen „Schwarzer Diamant" eingebracht hat. In der sibirischen und baltischen Volksmedizin wird Chaga seit Jahrhunderten als Tee zubereitet. Er enthält unter anderem Polysaccharide, Betulinsäure und Melanin.
