Golden Millet Extract from Unimedica is complemented by the protein-forming amino acids L-cysteine and L-leucine and by vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid). Golden millet is gluten-free and therefore suitable for people with gluten intolerance.

What are L-leucine and L-cysteine?
Leucine is a protein-forming, essential amino acid. The body cannot produce it itself and it therefore must be obtained from the diet. Leucine provides cells with energy in extreme stress situations. This is particularly important when requirements are increased due to intense physical exertion or fasting.
Cysteine is a semi-essential amino acid. Its importance lies in the fact that it is sulphur-containing and involved in protein formation. It is produced by the body in small amounts and must be taken in additionally through the diet. It is one of the building blocks from which the body's own glutathione is synthesised. Cysteine is also a natural component of hair and nails.
