Organic Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil from Unimedica consists of pure, natural linseed oil. The flaxseeds used are sourced from certified organic flax cultivation. They are gently cold-pressed to best preserve the valuable nutrients.
Organic cold-pressed linseed oil is rich in unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is necessary for the normal growth and development of children.
Alpha-linolenic acid is an important omega-3 fatty acid. It contributes to maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels. Unimedica's organic cold-pressed linseed oil contains 49.4 g of alpha-linolenic acid per 100 g. A daily intake of 2 g of alpha-linolenic acid is sufficient for this polyunsaturated fatty acid to take effect.
