For thousands of years the yellow turmeric root has been used in Asia both as a spice and in traditional herbal medicine and is today increasingly popular as a food. The active compound curcumin is regarded as a promising ingredient for general wellbeing. A recognised challenge is curcumin's limited bioavailability in the body. The branded ingredient Curcumin C3 Reduct® now offers a solution by providing curcumin in a readily absorbable form, the tetrahydrocurcuminoids, and is standardised to 95%. This enables the body to utilise curcumin directly, and one capsule a day optimises absorption.

Produktinformationen
Directly utilisable curcumin
Curcumin C3 Reduct® is a patented raw substance, providing a solution for the challenge of absorbing the valuable ingredients of the curcuma root. Curcumin C3 Reduct® provides curcumin in the stable and highly bioavailable form of tetrahydrocurcuminoid. So the demanding enzymatic conversion of curcumin to this form is no longer necessary, meaning that the curcuminoids can be directly absorbed and utilised in the body.
Our curcuma root is standardised to 95 % curcuminoids
Curcumin C3 Reduct® is standardised to contain 95 % tetrahydrocurcuminoids. So the special manufacturing process ensures that each capsule contains 95 % of these highly bioavailable curcuminoids. The curcuma root extract is converted to tetrahydrocurcuminoids by a process of hydration before being dried and milled.
Why is curcumin so valuable?
Curcumin is the traditionally proven ingredient of the curcuma root. Its multi-facetted natural support of wellbeing has made curcuma a popular spice in Asia and now worldwide. The yellow root has also been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda and in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Curcumin belongs to the curcuminoids. These bright yellow plant substances protect the curcuma plant from pathogens, pests and the effects of environmental stressors. This is the basis for the traditional use of curcuma as a healing plant.
Small dose, big advantage
Reduced curcumin (tetrahydrocurcuminoids) is a colourless, hydrated compound that is also found naturally in curcuma and other members of the ginger family. The patented formula of Curcumin C3 Reduct® enables the body to benefit from the valuable properties of curcuma root at a high concentration, without having to process high doses of curcuma. A single capsule of Curcumin C3 Reduct® per day is sufficient.
Curcuma – the yellow root tuber from Asia
Curcuma belongs to the ginger family. It comes from South and Southeast Asia, and is also found on other continents in tropical areas. Within this plant family there are approximately 120 species. Curcuma is a superfood due to its high nutrient density. Curcumin is the most outstanding ingredient – it is the ingredient responsible for the flavour and the fruity-spicy aroma of curcuma. At the same time it has attracted attention in holistic nutrition as the typically bright yellow colouring of the root tuber and as a phenol.
Each glass of Curcumin C3 Reduct® from Unimedica contains 120 capsules. This is enough for 4 months.
