Unimedica bromelain capsules, derived from pineapple extraction, provide 3,120 GDU | 6,240 F.I.P per daily dose (1,040 mg / 2 capsules) and contain 520 mg bromelain per capsule. GDU is a way of comparing the potency of enzymes. F.I.P is the international unit for measuring enzyme activity.

Bromelain, as an umbrella term, encompasses the protein‑degrading enzymes of the Bromeliaceae family. These enzymes were discovered in the stem of the pineapple plant and first characterised in 1876. They are also present in the fruit. The French researcher André Thevet already described in the 16th century the great importance of the pineapple to the indigenous peoples of South America, not only as a food but also in their traditional medicine.

The bromelain used in Unimedica’s bromelain capsules is obtained naturally by pineapple extraction. The fresh stems are peeled, washed and chopped. Pressing produces a juice which is centrifuged to separate the active components. These are then freeze‑dried, milled and processed into plant‑based capsules.

Each jar of Unimedica bromelain capsules contains 120 capsules. This corresponds to a two‑month supply.

Vegan and free from the following additives

Vegan capsule shell made from pure plant cellulose (HPMC), free from carrageenan and PEG.

Unimedica bromelain capsules are, in accordance with legal requirements, free from additives such as colourings, stabilisers, preservatives, anti‑caking agents such as magnesium stearate, and are non‑GMO, lactose‑free, gluten‑free and vegan.

Top for joint pain
The Bromelaine helped me a lot with joint pain in my thumbs and an undefined inflammation in my ankle. The ankle was pain-free after a good week. I am 60 years old. I have been passionate about exercise since I was young. As I work with my body in pain therapy, I too have always had joint pain in my thumbs. Natural enzymes from pineapple
I am enthusiastic about the broad spectrum of effects. They are great for digestion and the immune system, but also for all kinds of inflammation, whether sinusitis, wound healing or bruising and joint inflammation. Enzymes are not called the building blocks of life for nothing. They are essential for our survival. What I particularly like about this product is that the enzymes are naturally extracted from pineapple.

Effective for joint complaints and intestinal inflammation

My miracle cure
For a year, every 5 weeks sinusitis / sinusitis and sore throat until I found bromelain. Since then I've had nothing. As soon as I notice that my throat starts to scratch, I take bromelain and papaya and the next day it's gone. 👍👍👍

I have been taking bromelanine for a long time for my chron. But it also seems to help with knee problems and cervical spine and back pain. Then I stopped taking ASS100 and took 2 OPC instead. Later I added curcuma and now I take it regularly every day 1 OPC in the morning Later 1 Curcuma + 1 Bromelanin 1 OPC in the evening and 1 Bromelanin at night Since then I am no longer so extremely exhausted, before I had almost only slept and only dragged myself out with the dog in pain, now I enjoy walking again and don't have to go straight back to sleep. Helps with migraines
I am really positively surprised. When the packet from Narayana arrived, I had a bit of a migraine (not so bad that I was lying flat, it was just in the early stages), so I thought I'd take some bromelain to see if I could feel any effect. After about 45 minutes I had nothing! I could hardly believe it myself. Recently I had my period and I usually have PMS with at least one migraine a day, either the week before or during. This time I didn't have that! I didn't take Bromelain every day, but I took it sporadically whenever I felt my neck/head a bit (before the pain came or it was a mini pain, a bit hard to explain). So at the moment it seems to me that I have the bromelain capsules to thank for this. I don't think that was a coincidence. I took the product because of pain in my groin, as I had developed a ganglion that was probably pressing on a nerve and because my orthopaedist had recommended Wobenzym for inflammation that I also have in my body (both hands and left foot) and that would have been too many tablets in total for me because the intake is quite high, I came across it here. So I took double the portion of this product in the first week, i.e. 4 tablets a day. In the second week I went down to 2 tablets (as recommended) and I am 90% better as far as the pain in my hips is concerned (although I also cycled every day for 20-30 minutes at the same time, as recommended by my physiotherapist). As far as the inflammation in my hands and feet is concerned, I haven't really felt any change yet...but I'll keep at it, as I'm now "only" in week 3 and have had the inflammation for over a year, compared to the groin problems I had about 1.5 months before the treatment. In addition, I have ordered a highly concentrated combination of frankincense, turmeric, pepper, ginger and separately MSM from another company, which I will start today as a parallel cure and I hope that I will feel significant improvements afterwards. At the same time, an osteopath is still looking over it, as this is probably the result of a curvature of the spine. I think you can use these tablets as support instead of chemical tablets, but you must not ignore the overall issue and should seek professional support. My personal opinion/experience :)
