Homeopathy for concentration problems

Ennui.
What a wonderful French word.
Unfortunately there is no exact English equivalent for ‘ennui’. How about apathetic, indifferent, bored? In my opinion these terms are similar but do not capture the core meaning of the word. And they are nowhere near as elegant as ‘ennui’. I love that word.
You are probably wondering why I am writing about this particular topic today.
Homeopathy for psychological strains
Many of you know that homeopathy is very versatile and can treat a wide range of physical complaints – from injuries and infections to hormonal disorders and postoperative wound care. But homeopathy can do much more, because it also works for psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression and – you guessed it – ennui. In fact, I can’t think of a single illness that homeopathy wouldn’t help!
Here is a good example so you know what I mean: one of my colleagues in the office complained of difficulty concentrating when working on the computer, which was very unusual for her.
My colleague was under particular stress because, in addition to her work, she had to care for relatives at home. When we are under great strain, our brain winds down – to protect itself and to prevent a bigger collapse. After all, we are only human.
Stress makes you ill
Our thoughts can be thrown off track by psychologically stressful events. It doesn’t matter whether this happens through mental overexertion or health problems. Are you affected by any of the following conditions?
- Grief or sorrow
- Overwork (especially from mental work)
- Depression after a surgical procedure
- Problems caused by drug or alcohol use
- Illnesses such as influenza and diarrhoea that involve severe fluid loss
- Chronic exhaustion (a widespread complication of the current viral illness)
Individual symptoms
To treat psychological disorders effectively, we must not only consider the cause but also closely observe how the symptoms present. This applies to all physical and psychological conditions.
Some people, for example, experience a sudden loss of concentration; others report feeling as if in a dreamlike state. Some can only respond very slowly or cannot express their thoughts adequately. They may no longer be able to read long texts or remember the simplest things.
Phosphoricum acidum for exhaustion
For these symptoms I would first think of Phosphoricum acidum C30 (or C200, depending on how severe the symptoms are), to be taken twice daily until the complaints have noticeably improved.
Perhaps this little wordplay can serve as a mnemonic:
Can’t phocus? Phosphoricum acidum
Brain Phog? Phosphoricum acidum
There’s no reason to be 'phrustrated'! Homeopathy can help with psychological disorders just as it can with physical complaints. While others suffer from anxiety in these turbulent times, you have something these people lack. You have homeopathy. Enough reason to spread the good news. Tell others.
Warmly,
Yours
