Unimedica Vitamin D3/K2 tablets contain 5000 IU per tablet and are taken only every five days.
Vitamin D (cholecalciferol) contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, normal muscle function and a normal immune system. Vitamin K (menaquinone) contributes to normal blood clotting and the maintenance of normal bones.
Especially during the darker months, or when daylight and sun exposure are simply not possible in everyday life (e.g. shift work, quarantine or other restrictions), supplementing the diet with vitamin D3 can be helpful. Vitamin D can only be produced in the body with sufficient sunlight.
The vitamin D for Unimedica Vitamin D3/K2 tablets is sourced from sheep's wool. Unimedica Vitamin D3/K2 tablets are therefore well suited as a dietary supplement for vegetarian diets.
K2 in the “trans form”
Unimedica Vitamin D3/K2 tablets are particularly high-quality and effective. The branded raw material used, K2VITAL® MK7 All-trans from Kappa, contains K2 in the most effective, high-quality trans form (rather than the cis form) of MK-7. MK stands for menaquinone, another name for vitamin K2.
