Oriental spice paste with turmeric
Turmeric paste from Unimedica is lovingly handmade in Swabia. Pepper and olive oil are important components of this carefully devised recipe. The turmeric paste is always prepared from fresh turmeric. The flavour is rounded off with ginger water, agave syrup, lime juice, cinnamon and cardamom.
The turmeric plant belongs to the ginger family. The vibrant yellow root contains essential oils and the pigment curcumin. Fresh turmeric tastes rather pungent; ground it is milder. Turmeric is used primarily as a spice and as an ingredient in curry blends. It has been used in India for 4,000 years and holds an established place in Ayurveda.
Unimedica's turmeric paste is delicious raw, but also great in turmeric lattes or other drinks and as a flavour enhancer for all kinds of dishes. Whether with legumes, rice, in vegetable dishes or meat marinades - Unimedica's turmeric paste is versatile and can be enjoyed in both hot and cold dishes and drinks. With the turmeric paste you can make 'golden milk' in no time.
Each jar of Unimedica turmeric paste contains 90 g of spice paste. That's approximately 30 servings.
