As key substances in modern microelectronics, the lanthanides are of considerable economic interest. They were introduced into homeopathy by Jan Scholten in the 1990s.
With the help of his adaptation of the periodic table of the elements, these therapeutically until then mysterious rare earths could be characterised homeopathically, even though there were no drug provings. In the meantime they have proved effective in many patients worldwide, especially in the homeopathic treatment of autoimmune diseases.
