Selenium is vital, I can use a targeted dosage
For a long time, I only had iodine on my radar because of my hypothyroidism, until I was told by the endocrinologist that the addition of selenium is also essential. So the iodine can only work properly together with the selenium and I have to say that it works, because my fatigue and sagging have improved considerably. Humans cannot produce selenium themselves and of course it is important to keep to the correct dosage of trace elements. That's why I'm delighted with the drops, because I can adjust and measure them individually. Selenium also protects the thyroid gland from oxidative stress due to Hashimoto's and then there is another important aspect: The selenium also helps against cell damage in the eye, and as a vegetarian, I can replenish and supplement the selenium deficiency wonderfully with the drops.

I have just learnt that selenium should be taken in combination with iodine and glluthadione ... as otherwise oxidative stress occurs and the thyroid gland with its sensitive tissue is severely affected. Please research this again for yourself ... thank you and best regards Liliane

Take selenium and iodine together for Hashimoto's. Iodine is not always well tolerated in Hashimoto's, so take it at the same time as selenium. As an antioxidant, selenium protects the sensitive Hashimoto's thyroid gland.

That's not true. Zinc should ideally be taken in the evening, preferably with a meal, as it is then better tolerated. The liver needs the zinc to detoxify overnight.

my balm for the thyroid gland
Christmas a year ago I was hospitalised with a resting pulse rate of 160. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I took thiamazole for over a year and a half, starting with 60 mg...according to the package leaflet, 20 mg is the normal dose. I tried iodine and later the thyroid complex from Unimedica...I felt bad with it...insomnia and heat waves, tightness in my throat. Only selenium changed everything. When I was feeling bad I simply took a few drops...two or sometimes four. When my throat was tight, I sprayed my thyroid gland with colloidal silver from the outside, so to speak. A blessing...and internally I levelled out to 8 to 10 drops of selenium. I have slowly phased out the thiamazole and have not been taking it at all since the beginning of January. I hope it stays that way and I feel I'm on the right track in this respect. The selenium from sodium selenite gives me the certainty that my body would excrete too much again and not store it in my organs

Selenium is easy to take as drops - for thyroid inflammation
As I want to support my thyroid and therefore my entire hormone system, I take selenium regularly. I started taking it in 2013 after an inflammation of the thyroid gland. I spent three days climbing in the 6th degree in October in the cold, which meant that my body and I were pushed beyond their limits. My homeopath didn't know what to do. I was exhausted, couldn't pull myself together to do anything, I needed 3 breaks for half an hour of hoovering. A well-known alternative practitioner called me and simply said: triple the dose of selenium for a week, then reduce to the normal dose. (This meant I could do without the hormone replacement preparation). I am now also taking zinc. Acetyl-L-carnithine 1x4 capsules helps against the occasional cardiac arrhythmia caused by overexertion, because I still go climbing, only now with more mindfulness towards myself and my body. I like to take the drops at home. As these should be stored in the fridge, I switch to tablets when I'm on holiday.

Effect is often underestimated
The selenium drops from Unimedica are a great product! I find it particularly important to supplement iodine and selenium together, as in Germany we are often not sufficiently supplied with these important nutrients. Selenium simply has to be taken daily in our deficiency area. It is the cofactor for the production of glutathione, our body's most powerful antioxidant (essential!→ GPx does not work without selenium).
