Rhodiola Rosea Rose Root Extract capsules from Unimedica are made without additives from the powerful taproot of "rose root". Rose root is a succulent from the stonecrop family. It thrives in the Arctic and mountainous areas of North America and Eurasia. Both the root and the upper plant parts have the characteristic scent of roses when cut, hence the name rose root.
Rose root extract and tea have long been used in Russian, Baltic and Scandinavian folk medicine. They contain valuable ingredients such as the phenolic glycosides rosavin and salidroside.
