Hericium has been highly regarded for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a tonic and medicinal mushroom. Hericium is rich in valuable constituents such as polysaccharides. Its striking appearance has also earned the mushroom names monkey head, lion's mane, pom‑pom or bearded hedgehog.

Hericium is a parasitic tree fungus that favours beech and oak. It is native to the northern hemisphere from Mexico to Japan and is now cultivated worldwide. Hericium is also a delicious edible mushroom.

The mushroom is gently dried at low temperatures so that the valuable constituents are largely preserved. The whole fruiting body is then pulverised, breaking open the cell walls. This allows an especially fine grind of the powder.

Each brown glass jar of organic Hericium from Unimedica contains 90 capsules. This corresponds to a 1.5‑month supply.

Vegan and free from the following additives

Vegan capsule shell made from pure plant cellulose (HPMC), free from carrageenan and PEG.

Vital mushroom with power
I would start by taking it gradually. I take the Hericium extract to strengthen my intestinal mucosa, as I always have to deal with gastrointestinal cramps. Increase the dose slowly and then take it with food. At first it has a laxative effect, also with flatulence, but then the cramps are relieved and in the longer term the gastrointestinal tract relaxes. Hericium also has many ingredients such as minerals, trace elements and it is exceptional because it contains almost all amino acids. This is why you get a very good feeling of satiety when taking it. It is also recommended when dieting and provides you with important vital substances. A very healing mushroom from nature that is well worth trying!

Absolutely fantastic product
This product is simply insanely good. I have had chronic gastritis and diverticulitis for years. I have constant heartburn, stomach pain and can hardly tolerate any food. Interesting mention of dreaming. That puts me off right now. As I have very intense and not pleasant dreams anyway... I even suffer from sleep paralysis... hmmmm. Is it still like that or has the perception evaporated after all?

For ADHD
It helps a lot with our sons with ADHD. They are much calmer and more balanced throughout the day. I wish they were dosed a little higher so that you only need 1 capsule a day instead of 2. Without the Hericium it is very noisy at home. We notice it especially when they don't take it. It is also very healthy thanks to the many amino acids. Our older son can manage without Ritalin. The pressure at school is so high for our middle son that we'll soon have to see if he needs more. But at the moment we are only taking the Hericium.

13, 11 and 7. Unfortunately, the 2 older ones have to take Medikinet after all. The school has given us an ultimatum! But we are continuing to give them the Hericium because it is very healthy and does them good. We give 1 in the morning and 1 at lunchtime. Together with Omega 3 and Rosacea and Vit B complex.

Perhaps a change in diet would be more helpful for your sons than adding Medikinet, which certainly has side effects. There is a lot of help available online; food is responsible for the biochemical connections between the brain and motor and fine motor skills. For me, there is clearly a significant connection here! Young males need different food than females and, above all, clean, clear water without medication residues and hormone compounds, which are always found in tap water because waterworks do not use extra fine filtration. Perhaps this can be taken into consideration to support your efforts. I wish your sons and you all the best and, above all, patience and loving coexistence...

Medikinet was not good at all. It causes depression. We are now trying Elvanse and continuing with Hericium every day. The school is forcing us to give medication, which was never our way. But we had no choice. Medication or exclusion from school. Unfortunately, there are hardly any private schools that are affordable, or they have no places available. We are now receiving nutritional counselling.
