Reishi (Ganoderma lingzhi) is a traditional medicinal mushroom in Chinese folk medicine (TCM). Medicinal mushrooms are deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Reishi has long been regarded there as a symbol of luck and immortality. Our capsules contain the mushroom’s valuable constituents in concentrated form as an extract.
30% polysaccharides in the certified organic extract
Each capsule contains 500 mg organic Reishi fruiting body extract from certified organic cultivation. The Reishi mushroom is characterised by its high content of polysaccharides (30%). Thanks to a gentle water-extraction process, the high polysaccharide content is preserved in the extract. The capsule shell is made from hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and is therefore suitable for vegans. The product contains no unnecessary additives or carrier substances and is naturally free from allergens.
Polysaccharides — multiple sugars with many roles
Polysaccharides (also called glycans) are complex carbohydrates composed of multiple sugars. They provide energy and, among other functions, play a structural role in cell membranes. They serve animal and plant organisms as mucilages, storage substances and nutrients. In TCM Reishi is traditionally regarded as a particularly valuable natural product.

Because of its dense fruiting body and bitter taste, Reishi is rarely consumed directly and is usually used in the form of teas, powders or extracts.
