Oregano oil from Unimedica contains the power of thousands of oregano plants — probably the most aromatic Mediterranean herb. Oregano is best known as a flavouring herb in Mediterranean cuisine, but it has also been valued since antiquity as a medicinal plant for a wide range of internal and external uses. The plant contains numerous valuable constituents, such as the essential oil component carvacrol. We have captured this in highly concentrated form in the oregano oil. The convenient drops are suitable for both oral use and external application such as massages. Oregano oil must always be used diluted!
Pure essential oil with 86% carvacrol
Oregano oil from Unimedica consists of pure essential oregano oil. This contains the compound carvacrol (86%). Carvacrol is also used in cosmetics because of its particular properties. Thyme and bergamot also contain carvacrol.
Versatile benefits
Oregano oil can be used internally for digestive comfort and externally for skin comfort. As a seasoning, oregano gives a Mediterranean flavour to a wide variety of dishes. When specifically required, oregano oil can help: taken diluted in water or added to massage oil, hair tonic or shampoo, to a full bath or a steam bath.
Where does oregano come from?
Oregano originates from the Mediterranean region, where it is a very important spice. The herbaceous member of the mint family, growing up to 50 cm high, is now widespread across almost all of Europe and the warm regions of the world. The plant thrives on poor soils, which makes it particularly hardy. Oregano oil is obtained from the oregano plant by gentle steam distillation, mainly using the delicate leaves and shoots.

Oregano oil from Unimedica is pure essential oregano oil. In accordance with legal requirements, Oregano oil from Unimedica is free from colourings, preservatives, stabilisers, anti-caking agents such as magnesium stearate, and is non-GM, lactose-free, gluten-free, gelatine-free and vegan.

Recommended intake
Take a maximum of 4 drops daily, diluted. Oregano oil must not be taken undiluted and should not get into the eyes. It should always be diluted with water, olive oil, milk, honey or juice, with a dilution ratio of at least 1:20 to 1:50. For external use, oregano oil should be diluted with olive oil, as undiluted oregano oil can cause skin damage.
