Average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars
Glycine is one of the most important amino acids for the human body. It is also an important neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, particularly in the spinal cord and brain, and a key building block for the synthesis of creatine, haemoglobin and glutathione. Your body can obtain glycine from foods such as meat and poultry, fish, seafood, milk, eggs, gelatine and nuts. As it is predominantly found in animal products, we have developed a vegan glycine that is biologically synthesised.

Produktinformationen
Amino acid glycine for an active everyday life
Glycine powder from Unimedica consists of the non‑essential amino acid glycine. It takes its name from its sweet taste, which also makes it popular as a sweetener.
Normally the body produces its own glycine. It needs quite a lot of it, because glycine is an important hub in metabolism. In particular, energy production, oxygen supply and tissue structure require glycine.
What is glycine used for?
Glycine (aminoacetic acid) is a protein building block that the body needs to form collagens. Collagen is an important component of connective tissue, bones, cartilage, skin and tendons. Glycine is also required for the production of the red, oxygen‑binding blood pigment, bile acids and DNA.
In addition, glycine is required for the body's own production of the amino acids glutathione and creatine. It is present in almost all proteins in the organism and is highly metabolically active. In the nervous system, glycine also acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, which, for example, promotes relaxation in the muscles.
Each pack of Glycine powder from Unimedica contains 1100 g of powder. That's about 733 servings.
Vegan and free from the following additives
Glycine powder from Unimedica is, in accordance with legal requirements, free from additives such as colourings, stabilisers, preservatives, anti‑caking agents like magnesium stearate, and is non‑GMO, lactose‑free, gluten‑free and vegan.
