L-Arginine + L-Citrulline Powder Vegan 60 Sticks by Unimedica
Two amino acids important for the human body are L-Arginine and L-Citrulline. They are particularly popular with athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Good blood flow to their muscles is important to them, and L-Arginine contributes to maintaining normal blood pressure and the normal function of blood vessels. L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid and is converted into L-Arginine in the body. Combined, they produce synergistic effects and the amino acid pair is simply unbeatable.

Keep calm — amino power when it really counts
L-Arginine is a nitrogen-rich, semi-essential amino acid and a protein building block. Proteins are the basic building blocks of our organs and tissues as well as of the substances that keep our bodies functioning. Especially during challenging phases of life with high stress or physical exertion, large amounts of L-Arginine are used to keep bodily functions running. When L-Arginine is metabolised, nitric oxide is produced. This gas is involved in the regulation of blood vessels.
L-Citrulline is the precursor to L-Arginine. It is a non-essential amino acid that the body produces itself.
A combination with versatile effects
The bioactive L-Arginine is absorbed and processed very quickly by the body. That means additionally supplied L-Arginine "burns off" within a short time and the effect diminishes. That is why, in Unimedica's L-Arginine + L-Citrulline sticks, it is combined with its precursor L-Citrulline. This is gradually converted into L-Arginine in the body. It therefore creates a kind of reservoir function for L-Arginine. In this way, the body is supplied evenly with as much L-Arginine as it needs. At the same time, combining L-Citrulline with DL-malate (the anion of malic acid) ensures a high uptake capacity of the citrulline.
Balance on life's rollercoaster
L-Arginine plays a role in various bodily processes and is the only precursor from which the body can produce the signalling molecule nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is needed for the function of blood vessels and muscles as well as for the regulation of blood pressure. As the precursor to L-Arginine, L-Citrulline ensures a steady supply of the proteinogenic amino acid arginine.
Dietary sources of L-Arginine and L-Citrulline
L-Arginine is found mainly in animal foods such as fish, meat and eggs, but also in legumes and nuts. L-Citrulline is found mainly in watermelon and other members of the gourd family.
Each pack of Unimedica L-Arginine Base + L-Citrulline powder sticks contains 60 servings of 5 g each. This corresponds to a two-month supply.
