The LOTUS VITA filter technology
Phase 1 – Scale filter pad
The scale filter pad is the replaceable pre-filter with high-performance activated carbon (iodine 1100) and ion exchanger. It removes scale, sediments and heavy metals, protects the downstream filter cartridge and optimises performance. Because the scale filter pad can be replaced, the filter performance is maintained by regular replacement.
Phase 2 – High-performance activated carbon
The first stage of the filter cartridge. The activated carbon from natural coconut shells and the ion exchanger serve to further filter contaminants and scale.
Phase 3 – Ultra-fine filtration
In the second stage, contaminants, heavy metals, pesticides, chlorine and other impurities are further reduced by the third filtration.
Natural minerals in the water are retained.
Phase 4 – PiVitalis® technology from Lotus Vita®
The third stage with PiVitalis® for the best taste!
Magnesium, calcium, tourmaline, quartz sand and EM-ceramics (EM = Effective Microorganisms according to Prof Higa) and other special ceramics with a high mineral content enrich the filtered water. A magnetic field helps to restore the water's natural structure.
Installation of the filter cartridge:
- Rinse the filter cartridge, preferably from the underside, for approx. one minute under the drinking water tap. Do not aim the water jet at the centre, but at the small triangles.
- Install the filter cartridge by pulling and twisting it into the housing so that it sits as deep as possible in the housing.
- Filter at least 4 litres of drinking water with the new filter cartridge before using the filtered water for drinking.
- If required, install the optional filters onto the filter cartridge.
