Ginkgo Biloba 75 mg per daily dose - 360 tablets - from Unimedica

Update to my review below from 5 months ago. As long as I was taking the tablets my condition/constitution had improved very nicely, see below. Then I stopped taking it for 2 months to check the whole thing again. This idea belongs in the "nice and stupid" drawer As the saying goes, if the donkey is doing too well, it will run onto the ice. Quite soon after stopping the medication, I realised that some of the old problems had returned. My tinnitus had intensified again and the pressure in my left ear had also increased again. And my concentration and thinking were also deteriorating again. My breathing had also worsened again, especially when I suddenly had to run, e.g. up the stairs to the suburban railway. And the negative after-effects of the coronavirus vaccinations had also returned to my chest, e.g. heart problems that became very unpleasant. If anyone asks me now why I didn't go to the doctor, I can only say that my trust in the medical profession has now dwindled considerably. However, it was not a good idea for me to stop taking the tablets for so long and I am now taking them again. Every day 2 of the Ginkgo with 5000 ie and 1 D3 with 20000 ie and my general condition is slowly improving again. Well, so much for now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been using this for a week now and have noticed the following. I originally bought it because of my tinnitus, which has existed for decades and is so annoying. All medical attempts by ear specialists, neurologists etc. to do something about it were unsuccessful. For example, there is a scene in the film "Love Actually", which I really like, where a young woman's mobile phone is constantly ringing, which I never heard before and which I can now hear, albeit quietly. I also watched the film again to hear whether the mobile phone ringing was perhaps a mistake on my part, but no, it was there again. As my tinnitus varies in its sounds, ranging from shrill whistling to a kind of chirping to a noise that sounds like you're standing in the middle of a storm with the wind whistling quite strongly around your ears, the noise has "only" levelled out to the whistling. It was irritating for me to hear something in the film now, as I hadn't heard it through headphones before. The constant pressure on my ears has also eased. The easing of the pressure on my ears is stronger on the left side than the right, which surprises me as it started earlier on the left ear, probably due to a New Year's Eve firecracker that someone threw into my hood fifty years ago. Another point is that my shortness of breath, which has existed since the corona vaccination, has also subsided. I used to walk long distances, but the shortness of breath has put a stop to that. Now I went for a walk again on the second day that I took the ginkgo tablets. I came from the Britzer Garten here in Berlin and just started walking because I had a pretty clear feeling that I could do it. I made it all the way home in Charlottenburg, which was almost 10 kilometres without any shortness of breath. The next day I went for another long run around the Schlachtensee, which was almost 5 kilometres and again I didn't feel short of breath. Another example is that when I ran up the long flight of stairs to the Bellevue S-Bahn station here in Berlin to catch the train, I puffed at the top like an old locomotive about to fall apart and it took a very long time, up to 10 minutes, before I could breathe "normally" again. Now I can get up the stairs much more easily and the time it takes to breathe normally again is much shorter, which is a huge relief. Another point is that my heart rhythm disturbances, which have been recurring since the vaccination, especially at night, have decreased massively and now only occur sporadically, which is also an enormous relief, also in terms of the psychological factor. And to top it all off, my sleeping habits have also changed. I have had massive insomnia for more than 50 years and there is hardly a night when I have slept through the night. I can count the number of times on one hand. I used to wake up between 20 and 30 times a night, and since I've been taking the tablets it's "only" 1 or 2 times and I'm awake very early in the morning, which is also a strange feeling for me. In short, the whole day is physically and mentally much easier and more pleasant. I don't know what the people here have put together, but it helps. Incidentally, I take the tablets twice a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, which is completely against the recommendation, but in this quantity it seems to be even better, at least for me. There are no negative side effects for me. Addendum: Today was the ultimate test of the tablets. I made my famous chicken nuggets today and cut my finger, as I have often done before. Although the cut was almost the same size as before, the blood continued to flow for much longer and it took longer for the bleeding to stop. This is the first time I've been happy about having sabred my finger. Now I know with absolute certainty that the tablets work. And as they say, no rose without thorns.

I have been taking ginkgo for months to treat the circulatory problems in my legs. I have hardly had any more complaints since then. Very convenient to take as they are small tablets and not capsules. I am very satisfied and am also pleased with the favourable price.

Well, I didn't pay attention and ordered it. Last year it was 100 mg extract per tablet, now it's only 75 mg. But the price is still €19.50. The recommendation for tinnitus, for example, is 120 mg per day. Up to 240 mg is possible. This means that you would now have to take almost 2 tablets a day, otherwise you would be far below the usual dose. I'll send it back and check exactly what was in it before and what is still in it now. Big DISLIKE

In line with the general trend, this product feigns price stability by reducing the ingredients from 100 mg Ginkgo Biloba to 75 mg.

How much gingcolic acid does it contain? How many flavonoids? How many terpenoids? And on the pack it says 1 tablet = 100 mg and then 5000mg. That confuses me. I can't say anything about the effect yet. The flavour takes some getting used to.

When I last ordered them, the tablets were certainly 5 times as big as they are now. The tablets are now much smaller and contain only 75 milligrams of ginkgo. Why this exaggerated reduction? I can't say whether one tablet a day is still enough. And although the year has 365 days, there are only 360 of them. I was disappointed.

I read in a book about the resilience of the gingko tree - it even survived the radioactivity of Hiroshima and that convinced me to take gingko myself. Taken just before my midday slump, I feel really revitalised and mentally more active. I also like the fact that there are no additives in the tablets. The only downside for me personally is the shape - I sometimes find them a bit difficult to swallow. The price-performance ratio is also good - they last for almost a year!
