Filtered black seed oil - 250 ml - from Unimedica
Filtered black seed oil from Unimedica is obtained from the seeds of the "true black seed" (Nigella sativa) by gentle cold pressing. Following a millennia-old Egyptian tradition, the imported nigella seeds are further processed in a German oil mill. The uses are varied: filtered black seed oil can be taken on its own or used to flavour cold dishes. As oils are sensitive to light, our filtered black seed oil is supplied in dark green glass bottles.

Produktinformationen
Filtered black seed oil for pure enjoyment without worrying about cholesterol
Unimedica black seed oil is filtered and, with 23.1% monounsaturated and 55.6% polyunsaturated fatty acids, is very rich in the fats that are good for our bodies. Polyunsaturated fatty acids are involved in many functions in the body. Among other things, they help to dissolve important nutrients such as fat‑soluble vitamins and contribute to the maintenance of a normal blood cholesterol level when they replace saturated fatty acids in the diet.*
Cold‑pressed black seed oil rich in unsaturated fatty acids
Unimedica black seed oil is produced from high‑quality Egyptian black seed (Nigella sativa). The sun‑ripened seeds are gently cold‑pressed at low pressure in a German oil mill using a traditional Egyptian method. Cold pressing preserves the constituents and the high quality of the oil. In addition, this oil comes from the first pressing, meaning it has a particularly high content of all the valuable substances that characterise this natural oil.
This black seed oil contains no preservatives or other undesirable additives. Because the oil is filtered after pressing, it is clear and pure.
The thymoquinone content in black seed oil: a sign of quality
Unimedica’s black seed oil is characterised by a high thymoquinone content, ranging from 380 mg to 700 mg per 100 ml. Thymoquinone is an important component of the oil and is responsible for many of its positive properties. These natural variations in content arise from different cultivation conditions or the time of harvest.
Also suitable for culinary use
Black seed oil is ideal for flavouring a variety of dishes, including salads, stews, soups, dips and sauces. It is particularly popular in Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. To preserve the constituents, it is advisable to add the oil towards the end of cooking. The amount used depends on personal taste. Of course, black seed oil can also be taken undiluted.
What is Egyptian black seed?
Black seed (Nigella sativa) belongs to the buttercup family. Originally from the Orient, black seed is known as a traditional medicinal plant. It thrives particularly well in the dry heat of Egypt, which concentrates the nutrients in its seeds and makes the resulting oil especially rich.
Range of effects*
Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to the maintenance of a normal blood cholesterol level.

Oils are sensitive to light. Therefore we supply our filtered black seed oil in dark green glass bottles. Storage should preferably be in a cool, dry place, but not in the refrigerator. To avoid oxidation, it is advisable to close the bottle tightly after opening and to consume the contents within a reasonable time. Cloudiness or sediment that may occur during storage do not affect the quality.
Each bottle contains 250 ml of black seed oil.
Vegan and free from additives
Unimedica filtered black seed oil is, in accordance with legal requirements, free from additives such as colourings, stabilisers, preservatives and separating agents such as magnesium stearate, and is GMO‑free, lactose‑free, gluten‑free and vegan.
