Electrolyte complex with sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium - Keto-friendly - 400 capsules - from Unimedica

These 4 conductors ensure body and mind work in harmony

Unimedica's Electrolyte Complex supplies the body, as part of a balanced diet, with the four essential minerals sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. These minerals play a central role in many fundamental bodily functions, such as fluid balance regulation, support of nerve and muscle function, and activation of enzymes. Electrolytes are mineral salts dissolved in water that break down into positively and negatively charged particles (ions).

The body's battery

Like a battery, electrolytes supply the cells with energy by generating electrical charges. These charges are necessary for transmitting nerve impulses and allowing muscle contractions.

Sodium is essential for fluid balance and maintaining the osmotic pressure within cells. It ensures proper fluid exchange between cells and tissues.

Potassium regulates electrical potential across cell membranes and is crucial for communication between nerves and muscles. It also plays an important role in maintaining normal blood pressure.

Calcium is much more than just a building block for bones and teeth. It is necessary for the activation of digestive enzymes and contributes to signal transmission between cells.

Magnesium is a true all-rounder among minerals. It supports electrolyte balance and contributes to energy metabolism as well as normal muscle function.

All ingredients are combined in a way that they complement each other and specifically target areas where the need is greatest.

What are electrolytes good for?

Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium are essential for many physiological processes. They regulate fluid balance in cells, enable the transmission of nerve impulses, and support muscle contractions.

Refill your reserves after physical activity

During exercise or physically demanding work, we lose electrolytes—especially sodium—through sweat. This loss can cause an imbalance in the body, negatively affecting performance and well-being. The Electrolyte Complex supports recovery after intense physical exertion by helping to replenish nutrient stores, maintain electrolyte balance, and support normal muscle function.

Dietary sources of minerals

A balanced diet and adequate fluid intake ensure a steady electrolyte supply. Good sources include mineral water and (moderate) table salt, as well as olives and fermented foods like sauerkraut for sodium. Bananas, avocados, potatoes, and spinach are rich in potassium. Calcium is found in dark green leafy vegetables like kale and broccoli, as well as almonds. Magnesium is abundant in nuts, seeds, whole grains, and legumes.

Why keep an electrolyte complex at home?

Electrolytes can be lost quickly through sweat or physical exertion, making targeted supplementation, such as this Electrolyte Complex, beneficial. Excessive fluid intake can also flush out electrolytes, so balance is key.

In times of increased demands—due to sports, heat, fluid loss from illness, or low-sodium diets—electrolyte needs can rise. The Electrolyte Complex provides a quick, simple way to support the body with these minerals. The vegan capsule shell is easy to swallow and a practical alternative to powders or liquid solutions.

Belongs in the basic equipment
I can replenish my electrolyte balance with the complex, as it is an important building block for bone and dental health, especially tooth enamel. It neutralises stomach acid and is particularly effective against acid reflux. I can also report a pleasing success with my dizzy spells (spinning vertigo) in combination with my exercises and my associated headaches. During physical exertion, whether it's stress in everyday life or during sport, especially endurance training where I sweat a lot, this complex is a real supporter. It stabilises the nervous system, helps me when I'm tired and when I'm struggling to get going, The electrolytes in the complex have a high bioavailability and are therefore optimally absorbed and utilised by the body. As expected, the effect was rapid. Cramps in my calves and fingers are reduced, I can put weight on them for longer thanks to the relaxation and the tingling legs that often rob me of sleep are barely noticeable. Overall, I feel clearer in my head and more balanced. The electrolyte complex supports heart function, blood pressure and general cell function and because I am already over 60, I pay particular attention to this and can only warmly recommend taking it. Especially during periods of illness, particularly gastrointestinal infections with diarrhoea, the supply of electrolytes is essential because I can quickly become deficient in such a situation. The body's water balance is regulated and of course you have to drink plenty of water. Electrolytes also have a wonderful effect on the acid-base balance. They neutralise the acids in the body, keeping the control loop in balance and helping it to regulate itself.

DECUE
Much less effective than another taken from a competitor, probably due to the much lower quality components, hence the much lower price. I should have read the ingredients more carefully: there's nothing better than citrates after all! I won't be looking again....

Magnesium oxide is the worst form of magnesium, often used because it is cheap but not at all absorbable. The same goes for chloride forms. It is better to choose citrate forms. I have been taking them for three months (so as not to throw them away), and I can confirm that I feel no benefits. I should have given it one star (since I couldn't give it zero). I'm going to test my zinc and vitamin D levels, as I suspect that the supplements I bought on this site aren't doing me any good either.

Thank you very much for this very comprehensive answer. I am disappointed too. You have to be careful with complexes that contain several products at once. Either the quality or the quantity is insufficient. This is often the case. It is better to buy each product separately.
