The chaga powder is naturally rich in minerals, mainly potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. In addition, the following trace elements are present in appreciable amounts: manganese, silicon, iron, zinc and copper.
Other constituents include polysaccharides, flavonoids, tannins, lectins (glycoproteins) and organic acids such as acetic, butyric and oxalic acid. A particular natural component of the chaga fungus is pterin.
