When the natural balance is easily disturbed

We women know our bodies. We know when something is not right, especially when it comes to our reproductive organs.

By and large our bodies keep themselves healthy in a miraculous way with the help of numerous good and bad bacteria. These bacteria exist in and on us in a very delicate balance. I have devoted a large part of my teaching to restoring the natural balance of the gut flora. But there is also a natural balance in our intimate area that is very sensitive and can be disturbed quickly.

Bacterial vaginosisHomeopathy in Gynaecology and Obstetrics - Henry Newell Guernsey

When the bad bacteria take over, bacterial vaginosis (BV) can occur there.

BV is quite distinct from vaginal candidosis (commonly referred to as a yeast infection; I have already written about this: Candida albicans – infections). A medical diagnosis would of course be desirable, but most women who have had candidosis before can tell very clearly that bacterial vaginosis is different. The burning and itching can be similar, but a bacterial overgrowth – as opposed to an overgrowth of yeasts – usually smells very strong and unpleasant and is accompanied by a greyish or greenish discharge. The colour and consistency are different from those of yeasts. BV can also be accompanied by fever.

Causes

So how does this imbalance in our bacterial community occur?

Sexual practices can be an important factor. In many cases, however, the hygiene products zealously and widely promoted by the advertising industry for the intimate area are the real culprits.

Please, dear women, listen carefully – our bodies do not need this intimate-care industry!

Our vagina is self-cleaning. The use of perfumed tampons or sprays is unnecessary and can actually harm the delicate female ecosystem. Don’t be influenced by glossy advertising. Natural external cleansing with a mild soap – or better still: no soap at all – is enough to maintain a healthy and comfortable vaginal environment.

But as we know, even the most “careful” plans can sometimes go wrong. If conventional medicine had its way, an antibiotic would be prescribed straight away in these cases. Seriously? What sense does that make, especially considering that taking an antibiotic will almost inevitably lead to candidosis?

Why trade one problem for another?

The Banerji ProtocolsHomeopathic Remedy Pictures - Vicki Mathison / Frans Kusse

Homeopathy can help treat bacterial vaginosis in a natural and gentle way, without the risk of side effects.

The standard protocol of Drs Banerji from India for bacterial vaginosis is Hepar sulph 200, twice daily, in combination with Arsenicum album 200, also twice daily (the two remedies are not taken together but separately).

Once a clear improvement in symptoms has occurred, the remedies are stopped. If the symptoms recur, they are taken again according to the same schedule.

Homeopathy can restore the body's natural balance simply and effectively. What could be better than that?

Homeopathy helps! Spread the word – especially to your friends and other women who are suffering in silence and not talking about it.

Warm regards,

Yours
