Using case examples, the Autor demonstrates an organotropism of sage to the lung and of peppermint to the larynx. The symptoms from his remedy proving of Salvia officinalis corresponded to the picture of a tuberculous pneumonia with weakness caused by coughing and night sweats. Mentha piperita, by contrast, has proven itself as an acute remedy for vocal problems in singers and speakers. The remedies differ markedly with regard to the emotional symptoms. The irritability and negativity of sage contrast with the good humour and agitated nervousness of peppermint.
