The homeopathic Banerji protocols for asthma

Carle is an alert, creative boy, but at school he simply doesn't seem to function well. He has ADHD, anxiety and a bad temper.

He also has asthma. This can sometimes be quite severe. He also suffers from frequent colds, allergies, a sensitivity to chemicals and bronchitis. As is common with children with asthma, his paediatrician prescribed him an inhaler.

Why did I mention Carle's behaviour and ADHD when writing this blog post about asthma? Because — as I have repeatedly pointed out — all these conditions become very closely linked once a disease is treated with conventional medication.

Once you understand what synthetic drugs do, it will not surprise you that people who use inhalers often become aggressive and have difficulty concentrating. Anxiety caused by certain asthma medications can also lead to a generalized anxiety disorder, which in some cases can persist for years.

Is this a mental disorder or the side effect of a medication? Some tend to label it as the former.

I call it a new disease.

The hamster wheel of modern medicineThe Respiratory System - Life and Consciousness Rosina Sonnenschmidt

We have traded bronchial spasms for a behavioural disorder without even having cured the original illness! We have swapped a normally gifted child in the classroom for a learning disorder and (sometimes) the associated behavioural problems at school and elsewhere.

To me, this sounds like we are collecting illnesses rather than addressing them at their roots.

Carle and his family have fallen into the hamster wheel of modern medicine and will find it hard to get out until they understand how serious the effects of these drugs can be on a young body and mind. The irony is that if the school had its way, Carle would be given even more medication to suppress his newly acquired behavioural disorder.

Cortisone can have side effects

I searched PubMed for cortisone sprays and found the following: they "prevent and control airway inflammation" and "reduce the severity, frequency and duration of asthma attacks and treat attacks when they occur." I repeatedly searched for the words "cure" or "drug-free life", but I could not find those terms.

I didn't really expect to find them there either.

These drugs are intended to suppress symptoms with no regard for what they may be doing elsewhere in Carle's sensitive organism. We are told that these medications are tested, but on whom? On children with developing lungs and blossoming personalities? No, of course not.

By law, tests are not to be conducted on children. Except on children like Carle, under the guise of an "appropriate medical intervention". If enough children were treated this way and psychological harm was reported in a sufficient number of them, the industry might be prompted to rethink and change the formulation (just in time before the next fallout). But that is unlikely to happen at the moment, which essentially means that Carle is acting as the test subject here.

In truth, we all are.

I have no objection to a product — a new fridge or a smartphone — being tested, but I don't want to be the guinea pig for the pharmaceutical industry. And above all, I do not want my child to be one.

So what can we do?

There are various ways we can approach a situation like Carle's. If his asthma is only mild and his parents believe it can be controlled without an inhaler, they might decide not to give him an inhaler in the first place.

Unfortunately, most people only come to such conclusions after they discover how dangerous drugs can be. This usually happens only after they or a loved one has suffered harm. In that case, they might use one (not all) of the following Banerji protocols:

  1. Kalium carbonicum 200, to be taken every seven days, for general asthma
  2. For wheezing, Kali iodatum 6, taken twice daily, can also be used
  3. For a gagging sensation, particularly triggered by an external cause such as cat hair, I recommend in severe cases taking Ipecac 30 every one to three hours, otherwise less frequently. This is also of great value for asthmatic cough.
  4. Lachesis 200, one dose every other day, is a great remedy for curing asthma, but it should not be taken together with Kalium carbonicum.

For more information on dosing and potencies of the remedies see here.

However, if extrinsic causes — such as an allergy — are the primary cause of the asthma, other remedies may be appropriate.

I will not go into this in detail this week, but chemical sensitivity, food intolerances, pet dander, pollen and dust, for example, should be considered when choosing the appropriate remedy so that they can be fully healed. Asthma can be life-threatening, and it is important to know that the abrupt discontinuation of a medication can have a serious boomerang effect. Therefore it is not advisable to stop prescription medications abruptly, even while taking homeopathics, unless it has become very clear that the medication is no longer necessary. For most medicines it is advisable to discontinue them under the guidance of the treating physician.

Please remember that homeopathy is also medicine — not just herbs, vitamins, home remedies or supplements. It is negligent and potentially harmful to take the remedies mentioned above arbitrarily and without a genuine indication.

There you have it, dear readers. Homeopathic medicines for asthma, free from unpleasant side effects and completely without undesirable behavioural disorders.

Now that's what I call real medicine. Homeopathy helps — spread the word!

Yours sincerely,

Yours,
