The homeopathic treatment of genital herpes

News

Genital herpes:

Fear-laden, painful and in many cases a relationship-killer. Genital herpes is ubiquitous; one could almost say it is an epidemic.

This is where homeopathy comes in.

I want to make it clear from the outset that I do not consider myself an expert on the subject of herpes (regardless of which variant it is). However, I had the great privilege of observing Drs Banerji during a placement and, during my stay there, I gained a good insight into their treatment protocols for herpes. I would be almost negligent not to share this experience with you.

So, despite the criticism I expected, I decided to write about this highly sensitive topic.

There are things one simply must not keep quiet about.

Before I begin, however, I would like to offer a few words of caution. I want to emphasise that the term homeopathy is not synonymous with alternative medicine. Homeopathy is not the same as herbal medicine, nutritional supplement therapy, folk medicine or vitamin therapy.

Within the narrow scope of these terms, it is perfectly acceptable to try something in the hope that it might make a—however small—difference. That approach does not apply to homeopathy. I always advise my readers and my students to inform themselves thoroughly so they know exactly what they are doing.

For a complex clinical picture such as genital herpes, therefore, an exact diagnosis is essential. If you think you have genital herpes, you must make sure that this is really the case. If it turns out that what appears to be genital herpes is actually a fungal infection or an atopic eczema, the treatment will not work. Far more unpleasant than a lack of treatment success can be symptoms caused by the repeated intake of homeopathic remedies. In such a case the homeopathic remedies have of course not caused a herpes infection, but merely produced symptoms similar to those of a herpes disease.

It is worth reminding yourself of the principle of homeopathy: remedies are prescribed which, in their original crude form, can produce a particular symptom picture — yet in a homeopathic, highly diluted preparation they cure those very symptoms.

This should be taken into account when taking homeopathic remedies and you should not swallow anything prophylactically at random.

To give you a good understanding of the homeopathic method for treating chronic illnesses, I would like to refer you again to my podcast #12. Listen carefully and you will learn to interpret symptoms correctly.

With that in mind, I present the Banerji protocols for the treatment of genital herpes. Please promise me to exercise care and have the diagnosis confirmed by a doctor.

1.      Camphora C200, a single dose is taken. This remedy is suitable for anyone over 12 months of age. (The remedy clears the case; it makes a clean sweep, so to speak).

2.      Mercurius solubilis (or Mercurius vivus) C200, to be taken twice daily.

3.      Arsenicum album C200, to be taken twice daily.

In some cases an improvement occurs after just a few days, in others the symptoms gradually diminish. Some patients also report that the rashes still occur, but less frequently and less intensely.

The speed and depth of the healing process under this protocol depend on many factors. These include any prior conventional medical treatment that may have suppressed symptoms, the patient's immune status, and any medications the patient is currently taking.

It's as simple as that. A complex subject becomes manageable. My sincere thanks go to Drs Banerji and their enormous clinical experience of over 150 years.

You too can help your family, your friends and anyone who wants to know.
