Jan Scholten being awarded the Dutch knighthood |
It would be hard to find a more deserving recipient of this honour. Jan's tireless work for the development and progress of homoeopathy has opened up countless new possibilities for healing and has influenced homoeopathy on a global scale. In 1987 he founded, together with several colleagues, the Homeopathic Centre for Doctors in Utrecht, where eight homoeopathic doctors currently practise. Jan also frequently travels worldwide to give seminars and writes for journals and various homoeopathic websites. In his work Jan brings not only his medical knowledge but also his understanding of chemistry, mathematics and philosophy. He rightly calls himself a scientist who relies on solid information and makes good use of logical thinking. At the same time he is always open to insights gained on the sensory level, thereby uniting the left and right hemispheres of the brain in his research. He has carried out many remedy provings and has not only expanded our knowledge of remedies but also our understanding of homoeopathy in a broader sense. |

Jan Scholten with his new order |
Until recently Jan was mainly known for his groundbreaking discoveries in the application of the periodic table, which have enabled us to use all the elements and their salts homoeopathically. His work on the lanthanides has opened up treatment options for autoimmune diseases that were previously difficult to treat. However, his primary interest and major work have always been the plant kingdom. Last year his extensive book on plants was finally published. As with his work on the mineral kingdom, this book gives us methods for finding previously unknown remedies and for better understanding those already known. Despite the controversies that always accompany the development of new approaches, homoeopaths worldwide who have applied his methods confirm their effectiveness in healing their patients. In a time when old paradigms are collapsing and new ones are fought against with all means, it is encouraging to have a guiding figure among us, a person whose constant striving for health and happiness for people is so well founded. As many of his patients, colleagues and friends from around the world will confirm, Jan has certainly earned this honour. Congratulations, Jan! |

Seminar with Jan Scholten on 24–25 January 2015 in Bad Krozingen about the Wonderful Plants:
After many years of intensive research the long‑awaited book by Jan Scholten on the Systematics of Plants was published at the end of 2014. The work is a milestone in homoeopathy. However, the system is more demanding than the series and stages of the periodic table. In this seminar Jan Scholten will give an intensive introduction to the new plant system so that everyone can successfully apply the book.
