A pox on your house!

News

Recently I was shopping in a store where a radio station was playing Christmas music.

To my horror, not only were Christmas songs being played, but there were constant news bulletins and commercials aimed at frightening us. It was disgusting. Because I don't have a television or radio at home, I rarely notice what the rest of the nation is being fed.

I was shocked!

Fear and panicHomeopathy Therapy Guide - Sandra Perko

It was all about fear and scaremongering! Whether it was adverts for drugs that supposedly stop your husband's heart from exploding, or medicines that are meant to protect your children from sexually transmitted diseases; drugs to lower cholesterol or the 'disease of the day' that could overturn our society as we know it – everything revolved around fear.

Oh, Holy Night… FEAR… Hark the Herald Angels Sing… FEAR… Joy to the World… FEAR!

No wonder everyone is so frightened.

And now Bill Gates is also telling us that smallpox might be coming back?

I wonder how he knows that.

At a time when we can't even rely on the weather forecast!

I'm not sure whether you know what a smallpox infection looks like – most of us don't – but it's truly awful. After an incubation period of 12 to 17 days, the typical rash at first looks very similar to chickenpox. But soon the rash, fever, and head and muscle aches progress to the second stage of the disease, and lesions appear in the mouth and on the face, arms, legs and trunk. In other words: the whole body is covered with skin lesions that can become infected. Unfortunately there is no conventional treatment and in 30–50 per cent of cases the disease is fatal.

All right then, Bill. I'd like to adapt a famous quote from Shakespeare a little here: “A pox upon your house!” THAT sentence will strike terror into everyone!

Of course a smallpox infection can also be treated homeopathically. But I do not, and will not, discuss that publicly here.

Acute viral illnesses and the Banerji protocols

But one thing I want to leave you with: when we catch a virus, at first we usually don't know exactly what illness it is! We only know that it feels as if we've picked something up. This state offers an excellent opportunity to meet the first cough or the first hint of a cold with the Banerji protocol, i.e. Aconitum 200 in combination with Bryonia 30. Further information on potency and dosage can be found here.

Both remedies are given into the mouth at the same time, thus forming a complex remedy. In general the dosing depends on how violently the illness presents. In some cases a single dose is enough. If, however, you are hit particularly hard, you can repeat doses every 15 minutes or perhaps hourly. As soon as the symptoms ease, increase the intervals between doses step by step. When you feel much better again, stop the remedies altogether (as you would with all homeopathic medicines).

Aconitum and BryoniaHomeopathic Pocket Pharmacy for Leisure, Sport, Home and Travel - Eberhard Laubender

Aconitum 200 combined with Bryonia 30 is perhaps one of the most important treatment protocols you should always have on hand. When I feel I am getting sick – but do not yet know exactly what the diagnosis will be – this protocol has proven effective in my experience. The illness runs a milder course and can sometimes be entirely avoided. As always it is worth obtaining a diagnosis from a caring and empathetic doctor. (Please choose your doctor carefully.)

Moreover, Aconitum 200 combined with Bryonia 30 is particularly effective against fearmongers!

No, that was a little joke aside. Of course you can't simply wave your homeopathic vials at the screen until it stops. But merely the confidence of having a broadly effective protocol in the home medicine cabinet is a powerful antidote to fear.

But full confidence also requires competence. And you only have competence if you possess the necessary knowledge and/or the appropriate resources and can access them at any time. Therefore I recommend that for complex illnesses, like those currently being reported in the news, you simply take some time and acquire the necessary skills – it's easier than you think.

So the next time fear and alarm are spread, you'll be ready to act with competence and confidence. Homeopathy helps – spread the word!

Warmly,

Yours,
