Darmflorin with Calcium* contains a cultured complex of 18 selected bacteria cultures, mainly strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidus. In the human intestine, a range of very different factors influence digestion and metabolism. Many bacteria play a crucial role.

Darmflorin also contains organic inulin, which is a natural plant-based energy reserve. It can serve as an energy source for bacteria – "energy on the go" for the bacteria cultures. This helps the bacteria to better survive the passage through the intestine. The Darmflorin capsules also contain calcium, which supports the digestion and uptake of bacteria in the intestine. It helps with enzyme production required for the digestion of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It helps the body to break down the food into small molecules so that the small intestine can absorb it.
