S-acetyl glutathione stable form of glutathione 100 mg per daily dose (1 capsule) 60 capsules by Unimedica
Average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars
When glutathione is taken orally, a large part of the sulphur-containing tripeptide is often lost on its way through the digestive tract due to stomach acid and enzymes. For Unimedica's S-acetyl glutathione capsules the first stable form of glutathione is therefore used. This resists stomach acid and reaches the cells. From the mid-forties, and during periods of stress, environmental exposure, an unbalanced diet or illness, the need for glutathione may be increased. Each capsule of our S-acetyl glutathione capsules contains 100 mg of S-acetyl glutathione.

Produktinformationen
What is special about S-Acetyl-Glutathione?
S-Acetyl-Glutathione is the first stable form of glutathione, meaning it resists stomach acid and thus reaches the cells intact.
Why is that important?
Normally, glutathione — a sulfur-containing tripeptide — is produced by the body itself from the amino acids glutamic acid, glycine, and cysteine. To supply the body directly and quickly with additional glutathione, without requiring it to synthesize its own, it can be taken through food or as a dietary supplement. However, during digestion, much of it is destroyed by stomach acid and enzymes.
Why does the body need glutathione?
Metabolic processes leave behind "waste" in the cells, and chemicals from air, water, and food also enter the body. This gives the body's own detoxification organ — the liver — a lot of work to do. To do this, it needs helpers that the body produces itself, such as glutathione. Glutathione is present in all cells but is especially concentrated in the liver.
From around the mid-forties, the body's own production of glutathione gradually decreases. Stress, environmental pollution, illness, inflammation, or an unbalanced diet can also increase the consumption of glutathione in cells. Glutathione is involved in cellular metabolism and oxidizes easily.
