Red Rice red yeast rice from natural fermentation - with 2.51 mg monacolin K per daily dose (1 capsule) - 120 capsules - from Unimedica

Average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars

This red rice is not the commonly known red or red‑husked rice variety. Instead, red‑fermented rice, also called red mould rice, is produced by fermentation with the purple monk fungus Monascus purpureus. The intense red colouring develops during fermentation. Red mould rice has traditionally been used in East Asia, among other things, as a colouring and flavouring for foods. The red rice is rich in monacolin K. This product should not be consumed if you are taking cholesterol‑lowering medication.

Produktinformationen

When the rice turns red ...

Red rice with 2.51 mg monacolin K from Unimedica is the result of a careful natural process of fermentation. Red rice results from the interaction of normal rice with the yeast Monascus purpureus, which gives this rice its characteristic red-violet colour. It is therefore known as red yeast rice or red fermented rice.

This process naturally generates monacolin K and further monacolins (mould cultures). The controlled fermentation process generates a standard amount of monacolin K in the red rice capsules from Unimedica.

Not suitable for everyone

Due to its characteristics, red rice should only be used in small amounts and only for those between the ages of 18 and 70. It is recommended not to take these capsules during pregnancy and breastfeeding or if already taking products with red yeast rice or cholesterol-lowering substances.

Each brown bottle contains 120 capsules. This is enough for 4 months.

Vegan and without the following additives

Vegan capsule shells from pure plant-based cellulose (HPMC), free of carrageen and PEG.

Red rice from Unimedica is free of additives such as colouring, stabilisers and separating agents such as magnesium stearate; it is also GMO-free, lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan.

Plant-based cholesterol-lowering agent
I take the red rice to control my cholesterol levels. I am now approaching 60 and my GP told me at my last blood test that my LDL levels were borderline. That's why red rice is ideal, as it is a natural, plant-based LDL cholesterol-lowering agent. It's worth giving it a try, because I had no side effects! Now red rice has even more benefits. Because it can lower LDL cholesterol, it also protects against heart disease and lowers blood pressure and pulse rate. I also take red rice to prevent high blood sugar. A placebo-controlled double-blind study (National Library of Medicine) has shown that it also reduces oxidative stress such as inflammation in the body (by up to 20%). So it is more than just a cholesterol-lowering agent. I also take coenzyme Q10 because it is usually bound to LDL cholesterol in the serum. A sufficiently high Q10 level is also important for a strong heart muscle. Q10 can also prevent side effects. - Then there is vitamin E, which reduces the oxidation of cholesterol and LDL, thereby reducing the tendency for plaque to build up in the arteries. Vitamin E can increase the amount of HDL in the blood.

How many red rice tablets are you taking? What were your lab results before and after taking the tablets? How long did it take you to notice an effect?

I would also be interested to know if you have had any success with the capsules. My doctor has now prescribed me statins, but I would prefer to take something more natural.

The monacolin k in the red rice products was unfortunately downgraded two years ago (pharmaceutical lobby) and I no longer bought these products, as there was no real improvement in the cholesterol level with only 2.5 mg. before you got these products with the helpful 10 mg monacolin, which really helped very well.

A quick thought...if I now take 4 capsules with 2.5 mg instead of 1 capsule with 10 mg, don't I have an identical dose? Why do I have to switch to black garlic? Somehow it doesn't make sense to me...

At the beginning I took 2 x 2 Kps per day, with very good success, see my data/values (Elke+). I have now reduced to 2x 1 Kps and will check the fat values at the beginning of June and then report on the results. greetings

Hello Geli, if 10 mg has produced the desired result in the past, then I would take more than one capsule of this 2.5 mg product. Of course, I wish you good luck with the black garlic product and hope that those of us who are concerned with the subject do not consider statins and thus avoid the known side effects and secondary diseases associated with long-term statin therapy. Best regards Sabine

Red rice products should be taken with caution if you have hyperuraemia (high uric acid levels), as this may trigger gout, but the risk is also present with the newer products to reduce cholesterol (no statins).

Yes 2-0-2 That's how I took it, the values were already as good as described after two months, meanwhile reduced to 1-0-1, not yet checked again since then, but will have a check-up shortly, report again how the values are now.

Red rice capsules - ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️👍 works 🙏
I am extremely satisfied with these "Red Rice Capsules". However, I adjust the dosage accordingly for me personally - because the previously permitted 10 mg dosage per capsule has unfortunately not been available to buy anywhere for a few years now (after the pharmaceutical industry realised that this active ingredient works just as well as prescription statins, only without side effects such as muscle pain, they were no longer permitted to be sold as a dietary supplement in the high dosage). My cholesterol levels have gone down from well over 200 with the 10 mg to a good normal level. That's why I now take 3-4 capsules of these 2.5 mg capsules and thus get back to the right amount for me. These capsules are also very small and therefore easy to swallow. And all without any unnecessary additives or excipients - THANK YOU for this great product ❣️

Effect was great:))))
My husband has the 3 KKH heart disease, as a result of a lipometabolic disorder. We didn't want a further increase in statins because of the side effects. Of course he pays attention to his diet, is not overweight, does not smoke and exercises regularly. After 4 weeks of taking "red rice" LDL value dropped again from 95mg/dl to 75mg/dl and an increase in statins was not necessary:)))) Q10 200mg was also taken.

Roter Reis - Cholesterinsenker
Alternative cholesterol-lowering homeopathic variant 😇 The product Arterin used to be available at 10mg on red mould rice (= not to be confused with Arterin and the content artichoke etc.!!!) - but removed from the market thanks to the pharmaceutical lobby 😔. My maximum values (2014) fell from over 311mg/dl by 1/3! In between access to classic statins, with side effects that radically affected my psyche. I now take 2 capsules of this product and my values dropped again from 7.2 to 6.0 😉.

Very good cholesterol reducer!
Based on the experience of many patients over the past 20 years, I can only say: Monacolin K is an effective and safe natural cholesterol-lowering agent! It was used to develop the first synthetic cholesterol-lowering drug Lovastatin, which was withdrawn from the market due to severe side effects. The pharmaceutical lobby and its henchmen claim in many forums that the two are identical and have therefore restricted the dosage of monacolin K throughout the EU to less than 3 mg / capsule (just as, unfortunately, all effective alternative medicines have recently been combated and in some cases already banned), although until 3 years ago preparations with 5, 10 or even 18 mg monacolin K were still available. So you have to take 4 capsules of 2.5 mg at once, preferably in the evening. Only very rarely are there slight muscle complaints as a side effect, much less and less frequently than with the chemical statins. Liver values do not increase either, nor does it promote diabetes mellitus (diabetes), which is unfortunately what statins do. Only a few per cent of patients experience an increase in the proportion of small, dense (arteriosclerosis-promoting) LDL components, but in most cases these are significantly reduced, as is the total LDL.

Very good value
I had been prescribed red rice. As the health insurance doesn't pay for the product, I was overjoyed to have found a product that was half the price. What's more, the capsules are so small that they fit into the medicine dispenser.

10mg monacolin (4 capsules)
Red yeast rice contains 2.5mg of the active ingredient monacolin, which acts on ldlc cholesterol levels. You therefore need to take at least 4 capsules in the evening to have a real effect on lowering levels. If cramp appears, take cq10 at the same time as 2 x 200mg capsules. However, statins derived from medicines are more effective and are reimbursed if you can tolerate them.
