Produktinformationen

Meinungen zu Reboot with Joe

Hierfür braucht man keine großen Kochkenntnisse.

Read, implement, enjoy.
Rather by chance, I came across Joe Cross on the internet some time ago while looking for inspiration for juice recipes. Just a few clicks later I ended up at his amazing documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" (available from Narayana as a DVD). This film follows Australian-born Joe Cross on a journey across America towards to better health. At just 40 years of age, he was struggling with a host of health problems, of which of which being overweight was only the least of the problems - acquired through an unhealthy, stressful lifestyle, "living the good life" - too much of everything. And this also explains why he came up with the idea of organising his tour (travelling by car with a juicer) on film: Joe Cross was already a very successful a very successful self-made entrepreneur and investor and also approached the topic of "back to health" with with a lot of charisma but also professional commitment. Among other things, he visited several renowned American doctors and nutritionists during his trip. American doctors and nutritionists during his trip and received comprehensive advice. His other talent, which his infectious, warm manner and the joy he takes in sharing his (life) journey with others. with others. However, what was initially intended as a personal development step took on a whole new meaning when in 2006/2007 the international stock market crash forced him to reorganise his career. Among other things, he drew the mental strength from his newfound health (ideal weight, fitness, so that he was no longer dependent on medication). In the years that followed, he became a very well-known media personality, particularly in the USA and Australia, travelled to talk shows and gave motivational speeches. In the English-speaking world, the idea of mutual support is much more widespread is much more widespread than here. And so Joe Cross shares his experience and knowledge free of charge on many platforms, but now also offers the opportunity to be coached online by nutritional counsellors. "Reboot with Joe - The Juice Cure" is now a compilation of precisely these experiences, complemented by very specific advice on the requirements, materials and implementation of a juice diet at home. Joe Cross knows the recurring questions questions and answers them very authentically and straightforwardly. For example, the typical beginner is a little hesitant at first and and wants specific recipes and nutritional plans - which make up a large part of the book. Everything is very easy and quick to implement, even for readers who previously had two left hands in the kitchen. With time (and once you have started you will quickly develop your own style. The important thing is to start at all! With empathy and honesty, he also addresses the topic of "emotional baggage", which is generally associated with (excess) weight. Again and again, it is emphasised that health dispositions should be considered responsibly and, if necessary consult your trusted doctor if necessary. Whether you opt for a 3-day reboot (the word comes from computer language and means "reboot" - here: physically, emotionally), 10 or 30 days (or longer), or you take it very slowly, each option is explained in detail! And also what happens after such a reboot. Here's what happened to Joe Cross himself: he continues to live the lifestyle he adopted back then to this day, maintains a plant-based diet and regularly takes longer reboots. All of this can be seen, for example, in his constantly motivating and refreshing facebook posts. His motto: "If I've done it, you can do it too!" With this in mind, this is a really great book, suitable for beginners and advanced users alike to get a fresh dose of motivation again and again. to get a fresh dose of motivation again and again! For all those who are now curious, here is an overview of the chapters: 1. not a diet, but a way of life 2. the step into the next phase 3. preparing for a reboot 4 Reboot - step by step 5. the plans 6. the recipes - Juices - Main courses - Recipes for the post-preparation phase 7. instructions for juice preparation 8. basic instructions for the reboot 9. after the reboot Appendix with many other helpful resources for further reading

very good
I make it with growing enthusiasm. Note: it would be a simplification if the ingredients were listed with the daily recipes. Would avoid constant scrolling.

The book is written in a simple and understandable way. Asking for self-reflection at the beginning was really something new and helpful for me in the implementation. I have tried out the first recipes and am delighted. I already feel better in the first week.

Break the fast food addiction
The path from self-pity to action. It's never too late to switch from industrialised food to natural food. Really nourish your body instead of abusing it as a rubbish tip.

Reboot with juice
A good book. For me it's true. It's easier than fasting. I can flood myself with good, fresh juices, I have almost no hunger, the body is relieved, it can take up its activity to its full extent and I lose weight, which is also a great thing. which is also a great thing. I think it's good.
