What are Zechsteiner magnesium flakes made of?
Original Zechsteiner Magnesiumflocken by Unimedica consist only of water and 47% magnesium chloride. The magnesium chloride is extracted from the Zechsteiner Urmeer at a depth of 1,600 metres. The Zechsteiner Urmeer lies beneath Europe and dried up around 250 million years ago. It contains magnesium in its purest form, as the sediments are protected from any environmental influences.

For a relaxing foot bath, dissolve 100 g of the magnesium flakes in 5–6 litres of water. The ideal water temperature is 37°C. Let the feet rest in the soothing solution for 20 to 30 minutes. For a full bath, dissolve 500 g of the magnesium flakes in the bathtub. Fill only enough water to cover the body and enjoy the bath for 20 to 30 minutes. This application corresponds to a 1% magnesium chloride solution and provides soothing and revitalising care for body and mind.
