The magnesium chloride for the Original Zechsteiner magnesium flakes from Unimedica is extracted from the Zechstein primordial sea. The Zechstein primordial sea lies beneath Europe and dried up around 250 million years ago.
The sediments are protected from any environmental influences. The Zechstein primordial sea contains magnesium in its purest form. It is extracted from a depth of 1,600 metres.
Original Zechsteiner magnesium flakes from Unimedica consist only of water and 47% magnesium chloride. They are suitable as a non-greasy skin care product. Foot baths or full baths with magnesium flakes are particularly soothing for strained muscles, for example after physical exercise.
Recommended use
Foot bath: 100 g in 5–6 litres of water (ideal water temperature 37°C), recommended duration 20–30 minutes. Full bath: dissolve 500 g in the bath. Fill only so much water that the body is covered. Recommended bathing time 20–30 minutes. Equivalent to a 1% magnesium chloride solution.
Important information
Magnesium chloride is hygroscopic, i.e. it tends to form clumps because it attracts water; however, this does not affect the quality. Avoid contact with the eyes; do not apply to open wounds or freshly shaved skin. Do not ingest or inhale. Keep out of reach of children.
