Edamame soybeans are harvested as young green soybeans and, within 5 hours of harvest, are fully cooked and tinned. They have a nutty-sweet flavour and are particularly aromatic. During the cooking process the soybeans change colour from bright green to beige.
The cleaned soybeans are packed in tins with a little sea salt and water and heated to preserve them.
Traditionally served as an Asian appetiser or snack, delicious in salads, puréed, in soups or stews.
Application
Keep refrigerated after opening and use promptly.
