Unimedica iodine drops contain only elemental iodine in the form of potassium iodide, dissolved in pure water. They are free from any additives and are vegan.

Iodine contributes to the normal functioning of the thyroid. It plays a key role in the body's production of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Through these hormones, iodine regulates metabolism and the cardiovascular system.
Natural iodine sources are rare
Iodine is added to table salt and is found in eggs, milk, and dairy products, but mainly in sea fish and seafood. Algae often contain too much iodine for most people.
