Produktinformationen
Dragon's Blood has many uses
Dragon's Blood from Unimedica is obtained from the tree resin of the Dragon's Blood tree (Croton lechleri Müll.-Arg.). The Dragon's Blood tree (also known as sangre de drago or sangre de grado) is native to South America. The genus Croton belongs to the spurge family. Dragon's Blood is packed with valuable plant compounds. It provides excellent protection to the plant against herbivores and harmful environmental influences. Dragon's Blood has traditionally been part of the natural remedies used by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon.
The Dragon's Blood from Unimedica comes from sustainable wild harvesting, is raw and unheated. Dragon's Blood trees can live for up to 1,000 years.
Even in antiquity Dragon's Blood was highly prized worldwide. The reddish-brown resins of various plants were referred to as Dragon's Blood. To this day it is used worldwide as a universal household remedy, dye, in cosmetics or as a stain for coating wood, etc.
Pure from nature
Dragon's Blood from Unimedica is 100% untreated, natural tree resin of Croton lechleri Müll.-Arg. It is harvested in the traditional manner and laboratory-tested for its quality and purity. The product can, for example, be safely used to make natural cosmetics such as ointments. The amber glass bottle protects the high-quality contents and the pipette facilitates precise dosing.
The name "Dragon's Blood" goes back to poets of ancient times. Among others, Pliny the Elder attributed the name "Dragon's Blood" for the tree resin, regarded as magical in antiquity, to the mixing of the blood of an elephant and a dragon in battle.
As this is a natural product, the colour and consistency of the liquid may vary by batch. This has no impact on product quality. The colour and density of the liquid depend, for example, on the age of the tree and the region in which it grows. In addition, there are nine species of Dragon's Blood trees in the Amazon rainforest.
Each bottle of Dragon's Blood from Unimedica contains 50 ml of pure tree resin from sustainable wild harvesting.
