Acerola is the stone fruit of the Malpighia emarginata tree, native to central and south America. The fruits have an aromatic, mildly sour taste and are very high in vitamin C.

Natural vitamin C acerola plus from Unimedica contains 250 mg of natural vitamin C per daily dose (1 g) for normal functioning of the immune system. Daily intake of 1 g acerola plus powder stirred into drinks, shakes, smoothies, yoghurt or muesli – provides 312% of the EU-recommended daily adult requirement of vitamin C.

Great product - unfortunately with maltodextrin
The vitamin C powder would be really great, you notice a difference straight away (more energy). Unfortunately, I've also had side effects because it contains sugar in the form of maltodextrin, which means I'm not allowed to use the product at all. It's a shame that there are hardly any vitamin supplements without sugar. Therefore 1 star less, especially as Narayana explicitly states that it is a preparation "without undesirable additives".

It says natural vitamin C, but it is natural vitamin C enriched with chemically produced vitamin C, which presumably comes from the slave-driving country of China...... I've complained twice about why they have to write "natural vitamin C" when it's only a certain percentage, but the management won't comment on it..... I think it's a cheek. Simply customer deception. Deceptive packaging. Unhealthy. The body can't utilise it well. Like the vegetables that are fertilised with chemicals. Look better but have a much lower nutrient content than organic produce.

Has triggered high blood pressure.
I bought this product on recommendation. To support the blood vessels. Unfortunately, I found that it greatly increases my blood pressure. Probably due to the maltodextrin. Maltodextrin has a high glycaemic index and causes a rapid rise in blood sugar levels, which can be problematic for some people. Blood pressure rose to 200/105/65. That's not funny. After stopping it, it went back down to 145/75/65. I would love to send it back, but unfortunately one bag is open. But it's a double pack and now I have 2 bags that I can dispose of. For those who want to try it, I recommend stirring it into lukewarm water or tea. That's where it dissolves best. What a pity

The water should be at room temperature, so not too cold. I always mix warm and cold water so that it is around 25 degrees. However, vitamin C should not be dissolved in hot water either, as otherwise it will break down and lose its antioxidant effect...
