Cookbook for prevention and healing
I bought this book because I have a lot of friends who suffer from rheumatism and other autoimmune diseases. despite "modern medicine" these people do not find a cure, but become permanent patients... The author of this book had Hashimoto's and coeliac disease herself at the age of 26 and had cured herself by changing her diet (nutrient-dense food). this book explains the nutrient density and the nutrients themselves in detail. You learn which functions nutrients have and which diseases are caused by a lack of nutrients, and many chronic diseases are caused by a lack of nutrients. Long-term correct nutrition can bring about profound healing. This is described and explained in detail in this book, it is written for everyone and there are many clear tables. The tables of nutrient suppliers are particularly interesting and practical. Incidentally, many vitamins and nutrients are found in various animal livers...e.g. vitamin A in beef liver, chicken liver, fish liver...In this book you will find many practical cooking recipes that young people will also like. This book should also be seen as a health precaution. None of our family is ill now, but many illnesses develop over the years due to poor nutrition and a lack of nutrients. Broths from this book are very tasty and popular with my family (especially the classic bone broth). I really like the beetroot kvass... The anti-inflammatory turmeric broth has helped a friend of mine who suffers from rheumatism despite her young age. The maple-vanilla chai mixture is very cosy for cold days. You also learn a lot about naturopathy. For example about dandelion root, which helps with digestive disorders or hormonal imbalances....I think it's important to say that the recipes really taste good and are very varied. I particularly like the recipes with fish and seafood. The "oven-grilled marrow" is very good and very easy, even my 12-year-old daughter has cooked it for us several times. There are also desserts in the book that taste and look great. My children's favourites are the ice cream (page 303) and the vanilla cake (page 292). At the end of this book there are shopping lists and weekly plans. Budget shopping lists too. It was important to me to have a cookery book that is easy to use, that doesn't break the household budget and that you can easily buy ingredients. We can recommend this cookbook with a clear conscience as a family cookbook. It is also suitable for singles and couples. We live in a country where every visit to the doctor costs extra money, so it's best to take care of your health yourself!

High-quality food with a high nutrient density
The author explicitly emphasises the use of organic products, especially products where the animals are fed and the fruit and vegetables are grown according to organic principles. This meant that we had to change our diet to organic products. This was not possible overnight. Sourcing produce from the producer is worthwhile. The bone broth is unsuitable for me, I was given advice on this. Instead of bone broth, I make meat broth from the breast core. We love the broth as a drink in between meals and the broth is mainly used for soups and stews. The autoimmune diet consists mainly of meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. The recipes are inspiring and provide helpful suggestions for a healthy diet.

I am thrilled
The approach of this book to support the body in healing with the help of a well-tolerated diet that is rich in micronutrients sounds absolutely convincing and logical to me. I feel very well informed and prepared thanks to the theory, the nutrient tables and the extensive explanations on how to implement them. I also found the information on the quality of food extremely interesting and helpful. But the heart of the book is the really generous recipe section, which leaves nothing to be desired and makes giving up food much more pleasant. I'm still in the middle of it, I haven't cooked my way through the book yet, but I'm already very enthusiastic. Even if I can't say anything about the healing effects yet.
