The love of cooking is palpable
I have already bought several books on Ayurvedic cooking. This one is by far the best. You can feel the Lad couple's love of cooking and Dr Lad's expertise on every page. There are many dishes that I like. And all (!) the dishes are accompanied by instructions on how to modify them so that other constitution types can also eat them. Brilliant. Great for the family table. RECOMMENDED BUY!

A beautiful book with a very attractive cover. Ideally suited for beginners, as the Ayurveda system is first described in great detail in this cookery book. The recipes are varied and easy to cook. This lovely Indian couple guide the reader through their multi-faceted tradition of healthy living. I can only recommend this book.

I've already looked at it, but haven't cooked it yet. Many of the spices and ingredients are in Indian. It would be nice if the spices and ingredients were labelled in German and where I could buy them.

Delivery fast and correct. Bought books by Vasant Lad years ago. Easy to understand and instructive. I have his books, Selbstheilkunde durch Ayurveda,die Ayurvedische Pulsdiagnose, die Ayurveda Pflanzennheilkunde "which was written in co-operation with David Frawley. And even older little ones. Now the cookery book. Of course, I didn't necessarily need it, as I already had the knowledge, but I still found it useful and enjoyed it. It's very good for beginners - the basic principles are explained and you can simply change your diet and start cooking straight away. I have now ordered the book on marble therapy plus parallels to TCM (written together with Durve A.)... as it seems complex and clear to me. I don't know whether I need his 3 "big tomes"... 165,- to 190,- Euro, without knowing whether I will learn a lot.... Let's see.

It may well be an original Ayurveda cookery book, but I am looking for a book that is adapted to local conditions. In my opinion, it needs a lot of ingredients and spices that are only available in Asian shops.

Not all readers are familiar with Ayurveda but would still like to try out recipes. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for a layperson to understand the recipes, even if they are explained. Perhaps one should pay attention to a comprehensible German translation.

What I really like is the checklist of the 3 doshas, the description of the effects of foods and the combinations of foods that should be avoided, e.g. egg and milk --_ this explains why traditional pancakes are so heavy on my stomach and why I have now replaced the milk with almond milk. The recipes are often very similar. I would have liked more variety.
