The manufacturer states:

D-mannose is a natural simple sugar that the human body can produce itself in small amounts. Small amounts are also found in plants, trees and fruits. Cranberries, for example, also contain a little D-mannose.

D-mannose has no effect on glucose metabolism because it is hardly metabolised. Instead, it is excreted in the urine.

Ingredients
D-mannose from maize (non-GM), coating agent hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule shell), L-leucine, filler microcrystalline cellulose, cottonseed oil
Recommended intake
Adults: take 4 capsules daily with plenty of water, distributed with meals.

Bringing cystitis under control
Several doctors have tried to cure my wife's cystitis with 5 different antibiotics, without success, with recurring abdominal pain. I then looked for an alternative natural medicine on my own and found D-Mannose. Since taking it permanently, my wife has been largely snore-free. The bladder prolapse (probably the cause of the cystitis), which has now been diagnosed by a specialist, cannot be permanently cured by any medication in the world! Nevertheless, D-Mannose is a considerable gain in health maintenance and freedom from pain!
