This high-quality 5-chamber filter cartridge for the Lotus FONTANA® water filters is designed so that each individual layer can fully develop its specific effect. Similar to nature, the water flows slowly through the various mineral ceramics and thus has enough time to absorb the contained minerals and energies. The interplay of the carefully selected components forms the heart of the LOTUS VITA PiVitalis® water filter technology. To further enhance the positive filtering effect, magnetic fields are also used, generated by magnets integrated into each layer.
Lotus FONTANA® MINI ANTIKALK - Premium Filter Cartridge
1st chamber (High-performance activated carbon)
The first and largest chamber filters pharmaceuticals, pesticides, heavy metals and other contaminants. A potassium ion exchanger effectively reduces limescale content and enriches the water with the "feel‑good mineral" potassium.
2nd chamber (Natural zeolite)
Both free radicals and radical fragments of molecules are bound there, thereby reducing or neutralising their reactivity.
3rd chamber (Ceramic beads with bound calcium)
Here the water is continuously enriched with small amounts of calcium.
This makes the water taste milder and gives it a slightly alkaline character.
4th chamber (Ceramic beads with tourmaline)
Tourmaline stores ambient heat and emits long-wave far-infrared (FIR) radiation
to its surroundings, in particular to the water.
5th chamber (Quartz sand)
With its crystalline structure, quartz sand represents both a crystal and a natural stream bed. It is intended to remind the water of its original crystalline structure. According to the manufacturer, a Japanese EM ceramic tube (EM = effective microorganisms) restores the information of the natural balance of life.
