Aloe vera — the 'desert lily'

Aloe vera is a succulent. It thrives in the desert and is grown worldwide in tropical and subtropical regions. The plant withstands drought thanks to its ability to store water in its leaves.

The jelly-like consistency of the leaf juice is produced by the polysaccharides contained in the leaves. The juice flows directly from the tissue when the leaves are cut and feels cooling and soothing on contact with the skin.

A multi-talent, regenerates the skin cells
The aloe vera gel has a wonderfully unobtrusive and natural scent of ylang-ylang and refreshing lemon. A gift from nature and my skin loves it! Ideal for my sensitive facial skin and redness. The gel is pleasantly cooling, non-sticky and soothes the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed the next day. I can also feel the moisturising effect, it is no longer tight and looks smoother at the same time, and the advantage of aloe vera gel is that it does not weigh down the oily T-zone. It actually balances out the fat content. The gel is very rich, so it doesn't take much and if the air is very dry, I mix it with argan oil, which is non-comedogenic, very important because I tend to have acne, then I have the perfect care. If I have neurodermatitis at the roots of my hair, I mix the aloe vera gel with black cumin oil and the flaky redness disappears quickly.

So the gel can also be used on the face without any problems? Also for the dry eye area? Or do you leave this out? I get acne-like pimples in stressful situations. Mainly on the neck and décolleté, but also on the T-zone. Your comment is very helpful because I assumed that the gel could be used for the body and face, but the description only mentions the body. I also use the gel on my face and under my eyes, as all the ingredients are ideal for my sensitive facial skin. In the dry autumn/winter season, I mix the aloe vera gel with argan oil, which I love. It's important to know that argan oil is non-comedogenic, so it doesn't clog pores or cause acne. Unfortunately, I also tend to do this. In summer, I apply a few drops separately under the eyelid.

Not only for sunburn
Since a holiday with sunburn on the Canary Islands, I have been a real aloe vera fan. I only use facial care with aloe vera and have tried all sorts of products. I was dissatisfied with most of the products and wondered whether they even contained aloe vera. So I was all the more pleased with the Unimedica Aloe Vera Gel. I love the fresh and light texture, I have the feeling that it is very good for my combination skin. My skin feels fresh and well moisturised until the evening. I recently had a slight sunburn again and immediately applied aloe vera gel. It was like back then in the Canary Islands, the burning sensation subsided immediately. The skin is pleasantly cooled and soothed. The aloe gel is really something special and I will be ordering another one straight away.

Aloe vera gel against dry skin or under the day cream
I love aloe vera gel and have been using it for years. You only need very little and the effect is amazing, it relieves tension and moisturises the skin. It works wonders after sunbathing and keeps the tan on the skin much longer. This aloe vera gel from Unimedica is very easy to dose and has a pleasant but light fragrance. However, it is not suitable for people who are allergic to essential oils. What do I use it for? It's ideal after sunbathing, rubbed thinly all over the body or gently patted onto the skin after a shower. It also seems to make a relaxing mask on my face, but I've only tried it twice. It was great. In winter, aloe is great for my dry skin and I also apply it to my face when it's below zero before I go outside. In short, it's good to have an aloe vera gel at all times of the year and no household should be without it. I would have liked it better if it contained a little more aloe vera. But the scent makes up for it and I'm sticking with it.
