A new idea has emerged out of the contradiction between the doctrine of miasms and the theory of evolution.
From the viewpoint of evolutionary theory, miasms can be understood as survival strategies that can be inherited as reaction patterns. Three universal forces characterize these reactions and express themselves in our facial features, which can be used diagnostically to establish the dominant miasm. This article discusses the essential features of facial analysis and how it relates to miasms.
